Accreditations

UF has a long history of established programs in international education, research, and service. It is one of only 17 public, land-grant universities that belong to the Association of American Universities. The Association of American Universities is a nonprofit association of 61 U.S. and two Canadian preeminent public and private research universities. The University of Florida is also accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award bachelor’s, master’s, specialist, engineer, doctoral and professional degrees. The School of Music is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). In addition, the music education program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
